Ascension St. Matthew’s Church in rural central Utah continues to live out its unique identity as a fully merged Lutheran Episcopal church. Our Ascension family lives its mission of hospitality with a welcoming and generous spirit, serving the Carbon County community with many outreach and ministry programs. Pastor James Drury (Lutheran) accepted a call in 2008 and with the generous support of the Episcopal Diocese of Utah is serving full-time. Today the single service is “blended” from two rich liturgical traditions. The atmosphere has been enhanced in the past year with new families in attendance.
